3.2.2 Door. The inside door panel of the metal door shall be made of commercial grade steel with a porcelain enamel or bonded plastic on steel finish or a polypropylene material. The polypropylene material shall meet the requirements of UL.
3.3 Motors. The motors shall be in accordance with UL Standard No. 749. The motor bearings shall have maintenance free permanent lubrication.
3.4 Gaskets. The gaskets shall resist deterioration when exposed to heat and detergents. A manufacturer’s certificate of compliance is acceptable.
3.5 Drain air gap. If needed, the installer shall provide a drain air gap.
4. Electrical characteristics. The dishwasher shall operate on a nominal 115/128 volt, 60 Hertz, 3-wire grounding, single phase alternating current system.
5. Dimensions. Dimensions shall be in accordance with optional centimeter equivalents in parentheses. Overall dimensions shall be as follows in table I.

6. Automatic control. The automatic control shall cycle
through the wash, rinse, dry, and stop phases. The automatic control shall also
be capable of manual setting to repeat or skip any phase of the cycle. The
automatic control shall have one off and not less than the following automatic
cycles: heavy wash, normal wash, low energy wash, and rinse and hold.
Nomenclature may vary but wash action must be equivalent.
7. Switch, safety-interlock. The dishwasher shall be equipped with a switch
that will automatically stop the machine operation when the door is opened.
