practices. The Government reserves the right to require proof of such conformance prior to first delivery and thereafter as may be otherwise provided for under the provisions of the contract.
3.2 NSF. Acceptable evidence of meeting the requirements of NSF shall be one of the following:
(a) A listing in the current edition of the NSF “Listing of Food Service Equipment” and display of the NSF seal on the finished table.
(b) A certification for the table issued by NSF under their special onetime contract evaluation/certification 8ervice.
(c) A certified test report from a recognized independent testing laboratory, acceptable to the Government agency for which the table is being procured, that the table has been tested and conforms to NSF Standard No. 2.
3.3 End item examination. The contractor is responsible for assuring that the product conforms to the stated requirements. Sampling inspection shall be in accordance with MIL-STD-105. The inspection level shall be II and the AQL shall be 4.0. The lot size shall be expressed in units of tables. The sample unit shall be one complete table. The defects are as follows:
Not finished as specified
Any component missing
Any burr, sliver, sharp edge, rough die, tool, gauge, trim, or grind marks
Not fabricated of materials specified
Not constructed as specified
Any component fractured, bent, buckled, dented, punctured, or malformed
Bullet feet not adjustable
Fastening devices missing
Welding not smooth and free of cracks, burn holes, or undercuts
Manufacturer’s identification marking missing or incomplete
Faucet and drain not as specified
3.4 End item testing. One table from the production lot shall be tested as specified below. Any test failure shall be cause for rejection of the lot.
3.4.1 Load test. The table with sink shall support a load as shown in figure 1, evenly distributed over a 2 foot by 2 foot portion of the tabletop midsection for a period of 8 hours. Any permanent deformation, breakage, or looseness of parts shall constitute failure of the test.
3.4.2 Lateral force test. The table with sink shall be capable of resisting a static force centrally applied as shown in figure 2 for five cycles in the direction indicated. Any deformation, breakage, or looseness of parts shall constitute failure of the test.
