4. PACKAGING
4.1 Packaging and packing. Packaging and packing shall be commercial or export as specified (see 5.2).
4.1.1 Commercial. Each glasswasher shall be cleaned, preserved, packaged, packed, and unitized in accordance with ASTM D 3951.
4.1.2 Export packing. Each complete glasswasher shall be packed in a snug-fitting, fiberboard shipping container conforming to style RSC, grade V3c or V3s of PPP-B-636. Uninstalled brushes shall be secured in an unused portion of the shipping container. cushioning shall be used as necessary to prevent movement or damage while in transit.
4.2 Marking (commercial and export). Shipping containers shall be marked in accordance with MIL-STD-129.
5. NOTES
5.1 Intended use. The glasswasher cover by this commercial item description is intended for removing soiled matter from glassware prior to washing and sanitizing in a dishwashing machine.
5.2 Acquisition requirements. Acquisition documents must specify the following:
a. Title, number, and date of this commercial item description.
b. Government approved manual number to be included on data nameplate (see 2.4).
c. Selection of applicable packaging and packing required (see 4.1).
