3.3 Export packaging. Each dispenser shall be cleaned, preserved, and cushioned to protect against corrosion, deterioration, and physical damage during shipping and storage. disassembled parts and accessories shall be packaged in a fiberboard box conforming to style optional, type CF or SF, class domestic of PPP-B-636.
3.4 Export packing. Each dispenser with its parts packaged, shall be packed in a cleated plywood box conforming to PPP-B-601, type domestic, style optional, or cleated fiberboard box conforming to PPP-B-591, class II. Each box shall be closed and strapped in accordance with PPP-B-601 or PPP-B-691, as applicable. When specified, shipping containers shall be palletized in accordance with MIL-STD-147.
3.5 Marking (commercial and export). Marking of unit pack, shipping container and unit load shall be in accordance with MIL-STD-129.
4. NOTES
4.1 Intended use. The dispenser covered by this commercial item description is intended for storing and automatically dispensing ice in dining facilities.
4.2 Ordering data.
a. Title, number, and date of this documents.
b. When tray rail is required (see 1.3).
c. When electrical characteristics other than specified are require, the contracting officer shall provide voltage, phase, hertz, and other necessary requirements to facilitate operation and installation (see 1.5).
d. Selection of applicable level of packaging and packing (see 3.1).
