2.1.2.3 Style 3. Style 3 tables shall have a full removable shelf 10 inches wide with an 8 inch high back. The shelf shall be fabricated of 18 gauge 300 series stainless steel. The shelf shall have 2 vertical supports welded to the shelf and bolted to the table frame. There shall be a 18 inch space between the shelf and the table top surface which shall be rolled for rigidity (see figure 3).
2.1.2.4 Style 4. Style 4 tables shall be supplied with a storage rack the length of the table 12 inches deep, 32 inches high mounted 17 to 19 inches above the working surface. The rack shall be constructed of chrome plated or vinyl coated wire. A minimum of six adjustable vertical dividers shall be furnished to accommodate the various sizes of meat trays. A vinyl coated or chrome plate wire basket shall be suspended below the rack to store meat tray paper. The dimensions of the basket shall not be less than 30 inches wide, by 12 inches deep, by 4 inches high. The upper wire rack shall be supported by a stainless steel frame and shall be fastened to the rear of the table (see figure 4).
2.1.4 Data nameplate (“Government unique” requirement) (See 5.4). The table shall be furnished with a data nameplate in accordance with the applicable requirements of MIL-STD-130 except the requirements for: (a) Methods of applying, (b) Identification tags, (c) Information not required, and (d) Optional marking information shall not apply. The data nameplate shall be made of minimum 20 gauge corrosion-resisting metal and attached to the table by rivets, screws, or welding in such a manner as to meet the applicable NSF International sanitary requirements for this equipment. The plate shall contain the following information which shall be stamped, engraved, or applied by photosensitive means:
National Stock Number
Procurement Contract Number
Specification Data
Manufacturer’s Name, Address, and Telephone Number (List only if different from Manufacturer)
Manufacturer’s Model Number
Government Approved Manual Number (when specified, see 5.2).
Each plate shall be placed so it is readily visible to the user during normal use and so as to not adversely affect the life and utility of the table.
